# Bitcoin Core not starting

I’m running Bitcoin Core v31.1:16 on 0.4.0.1.
Since the update to said version the service won’t start. I tried stopping it and all other services and restarting the server. Nothing works. It’s stuck at the sync stage.
Would the log file be useful?

Look at the logs @ Services \> Bitcoin Core \> Logs. Maybe paste the last ~50 lines before a restart here if you need help interpreting it.
Usually it will indicate that some action needs to be taken at Services \> Bitcoin Core \> Actions & Config

I fixed it . Reindexing was what Klaus recommended based on my log file.
