I’m running Knots 29.3.0 and noticed that it is in a restart loop. I read two other posts about similar behavior. I tried saving the config and restarting but this didn’t solve the issue.

My ServerOne was recently re-installed and there was no power outage or interruption so I’m a bit puzzled as to what happened. I also have another StartOS setup on different hardware that has been running without any problem.

Here are some logs I captured from my Start9 Server One that is experiencing this problem.

I’m thinking of re-indexing chainstate or blockchain.

These are screenshots of the logs rather than the logs themselves (there’s a little download button you might have missed).

The last one shows an error where the chainstate got corrupted (has your server lost power unexpectedly?) If you click into Bitcoin you’ll find an action to Reindex Chainstate that should solve it.

Here is a screenshot of the tail end of the downloaded Bitcoin Knots logs.

Does this require blockchain reindexing?

Yes, that is what the logs are saying to do.

The blockchain reindexing seemed to have completed as Knots reported “Synced” and the Knots service was showing running but there was an RPC error/timeout.

I also noticed that the system monitor was showing that the temperature was above 90 degrees celsius which is worrying…

I tried restarting the Knots service but now it won’t start and logs are showing the same error/timeout.

This shows that Bitcoin is not actually started. When you hit that purple restart button, does this happen each time?

Yes, this keeps happening.
I uninstalled Knots and tried to re-install it and it fails due to an invalid signature.

I can’t help but notice you’re trying to install an old version of Bitcoin there. The latest is `29.3.1`.
I’m not sure where to start with an inconsistency like that.

You reinstalled Bitcoin before we could collect any information as to what was happening.

You also said you have a Server One. Any reason you don’t know to use your included live support at [start9.me](http://start9.me)? I think we could solve this faster there.

I logged in to [start9.me](http://start9.me) using my access code but cannot figure out how to get in contact with someone at Start9 without having their name, email address or username. You’d think that starting a chat session would be made much easier.

Any help with moving forward would be appreciated.

When you explored the public rooms, none loaded? When you clicked on to the icons on the left hand side, was there some kind of error? This looks like a screenshot taken immediately on opening the account and without doing anything further at all.

When I click on “Rooms” there are 5 rooms displayed.

Do I have to start a new thread for live support?

Yes – post a question, and you’ll be answered.
