I have installed Mempool successfully but Im getting dependencies warnings for Bitcoin Core and electrs that
‘Config not satisfied. Mempool will not work as expected’
Have no idea how to config these dependencies.
I try auto config for Bitcoin the result is a warning that electrs will crash
I try to config electrs and get RPC ERROR: Incoherent Could not find Config at startos::dependencies:225
Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks

Bitcoin core and Electrs fully synced and running healthy? You need this services first fully operational before you can run mempool.

This is a normal warning, it just means that Bitcoin will be unavailable to electrs while it it is reconfigured. We need to make the wording more friendly. It is safe to proceed, thank you for reading our warnings.

Hi, I am having the same problem. I know you said it’s normal but after I click “continue” , Electrum status just stays at “Starting…”
I am trying to connect Sparrow Webtop to my node and it keeps giving me this error when I try to test connection "Could not connect:

SOCKS: Host unreachable. Check if the proxy server is running."

I am not sure if Electrum being stuck in “starting…” status is the problem but it seems like it.

Thanks

This doesn’t sound like the same problem necessarily, just that you have an issue with Electrs, unless it says `Config not satisfied`. You’d need to check that Bitcoin is running and healthy, that the configuration is correct (reset it), the Electrs configuration is correct, etc. Then, if all that is good, delve into the Electrs logs to see what the issue is. You can get those from Electrs → Logs.

Thank you for your reply. BTC core is running fine, just Electrum says Config not satisfied. I don’t know how to read the logs but I see it says Error: electrs failed.
How do I reset electrs? I clicked on Autoconfig and it didn’t resolve the problem.

Hi FUmunney!

What exactly is Electrs complaining about in the Bitcoin config? When you click this, you should be informed about what will change in the config. As @StuPleb mentioned, try resetting your Bitcoin config to the default settings. Keep in mind that Electrs requires a full node with pruning disabled to run properly.

Hi H0mer, thanks for your help.
I get the same exact error messages as OP for electrs. I reset Bitcoin Core to default and it didn;t seem to make a difference. I don’t see an option to set to full node, only automatic which if i click on it, doesn’t get disabled

If only automatic is showing it’s because your drive is too small to store the unpruned Blockchain. StartOS is trying to protect you from overrunning your drive capacity. At the moment StartOS requiers 900GB to run full node.

hmm I have an external 1TB SSD attached to my mini PC. Is that too close to the limit?

Bitcoin is saying no, with the automatic pruning forced on, with which Electrs won’t run.
