So im on the latest update i tried everything i could to connect to electrum wallet no joy , 1. how can i connect to electrum . I tried other wallets and managed to connect to blue & Nunchuck by using the .local address it would not work with the number ip . so i have connected to these wallets without using Tor as its so so slow so my next question is connecting to start9 without Tor is that still secure & private ? Only been up and running a few weeks so just a newb a wee bit info on connecting with electrum & an answer to my Tor question would be much appreciated . ps, running fulcrum .

First question. (of probably many) Are you only needing to connect only when you’re on the LAN, or are you wanting to connect remotely?

You have to keep in mind that for any remote connections to your server from outside your home, there are three different options.

VPN, Tor or clearnet. The best thing I can recommend is to take a look at our specific documentation on this topic, which should clear up any doubts and guide you in the right direction when you end up choosing one or the other.

Since you are a new user, the documentation is a very in depth knowledge base that will help you along the way quite a bit.
