Hi, yes you can do that but there are a few things to take into account when doing a restore form backup, mainly that any Lightning Channels you had open will close when restoring from backup.
If you have the RasPi still, then why not just do an upgrade rather than a full restore? Start9 | Upgrade Your Raspberry Pi
Or you could even transfer the data instead → Start9 | Transfer Data to a New Drive
