# How do I opt out of Apple Icloud and Google Drive with Start9

I am running Start9 Pure and have successfully trusted root with my iPhone and laptops (linux and windows). How do I deactivate google cloud and apple icloud services and confirm all my data is now on start9.

Any cloud service activity is entirely contained to your client device(s). Obviously with things like, OneDrive, Dropbox etc… is to just not install them.

For Mac OS and iOS, and Android, their stuff comes preinstalled and often pre-activated.

It’s a question of going through all the settings and turning it all off…

And after you do… logging into your accounts and deleting what’s already uploaded and trust that it’s truly deleted.
