# My sparrow wallet won't broadcast my transaction: Can't connect to TOR

I’m having the same problem, seems to be an issue with the ssl connection. The old guide didn’t use ssl but did specify to use proxy and this still works for me. As soon as I go to use ssl Sparrow can’t connect (with or without my certificate). I’m still on 0.3.5-1, does the ssl connection work on 0.3.5-1 or is it 0.4?

I had the same problem connecting to electrum on Android. Solved it by creating and using a tls tor connection in electrs - disabling ssl

I have not been able to prove it but I suspect there is a UI refresh issue within Sparrow Server settings as it broke and worked for me twice over time and in both cases removing and re-adding the settings seemed to work - that includes closing out that form - no idea why it worked; a funky bug no one has ever been able to prove perhaps as they intermediately start looking elsewhere since would not consider that Sparrow itself might have a funk.. anyway try it before making mince meat of other areas.. Might not work for you but start with that.
