I just updated but lost connection after attempting to restart…now i cannot gain access at all. Its as if my server is not on my local network at all. Note: i did unplug and plugged back in. Its a server pure.

We seem to have a known issue here with Server Pures we’re looking into.

If you’re eager to proceed with the migrations, I can explain the steps with a USB.

Your data isn’t at risk at all. You’re just stuck in a situation where you may need to continue manually.

Make sure the server isn’t detected on the router first, i.e. it’s not connected and doesn’t have an IP (a sure sign it’s not just taking a really long time) and check on [http://start.local](http://start.local/) that nothing appears. Hard refresh to verify.

Linux/Windows: ctrl+shift+R
macOS Firefox: cmd+shift+R
macOS Safari: cmd+option+E, then cmd+R

Then continue from Step 7 here: [Update to StartOS 0.4.0 - StartOS](https://docs.start9.com/start-os/0.4.0.x/update-040.html)

I’m experiencing the same issue. I initiated the download OTA and now I cannot reach it at all.

EDIT: flashed and installed, got it working again

When you flashed and installed did the issue go away or did it come back at any point

He’s referring to an early issue with Pure 040 updates. A single issue rather than one that goes away and comes back.
