Need advice please. Running Start9 OS 0.4.0.1. I just updated electrs to 0.12.0:2. App has been syncing for an hour now with temps constant between 90-100 degrees Celsius and fan pulsing on and off every 5-10 seconds.

Are these temps to be expected with a CPU load of 7%?

Vents are clean, no dust, no flow restriction and ambient temp is 24 degrees Celsius.

Good advice above to not run things you don’t use.

Also worth stating the obvious that if your server is under heavy use it’ll be hot.

Finally, Mempool is now terribly bloated and inefficient, and heading towards being impossible to run for home users on simple hardware. Some people keep it turned off for convenience, and start it only when they expect to use it.

Thanks both for the responses. Sync has finished finally and everything looks to be back in normal ranges again. Will keep services off that are not in use.
