Wanted to see about running a bch node for solo mining on the start 9? Is that something y’all are thinking about porting? I solo mine with low th and BTC is a crap shoot. I think there is more luck with bch.

I imagine it would be difficult to find anyone interested in doing this. I’m not sure there’s much point in having “more luck” with something that has no use and no value. Feel free to find someone to help you with it though.
It’s your server, and you can run whatever you want on it. But the software needs to be packaged specifically for StartOS. Anyone can package for StartOS. Usually the answer to this type of question is to refer people to the developers of the software in question, and ask them to package for StartOS. But in this case, I think that would be fruitless. One of the core philosophy differences between BTC, and BCH is that BCH sees no value in pleb nodes, and actively discourages people from running their own. So I think they would have no interest in this. If you want to run a BCH node, you or someone like, you will have to package it themselves. If you would like to learn more about packaging software for StartOS, we’d love to get you involved.

I would love to try to get involved more, been thinking about how I roll these servers out to people as a business. Third full build and I’m breezing through them now. I’m a long time MS IT guy turned snowboard/bartending bum outside Breckenridge but I’ve been getting the geek itch again, a lot really (Bachelor in IT, A+, NET+, MCP, MCP+1, MCSE(NT4.0) AND MCP with a Citrix and VMware background). Show me the path oh wise ones lol
