As I mentioned in my previous post, now that the IBD is complete, 8GB is probably okay for now.
Have you connected to a peer? I’m not sure what step you are on, but here’s the guide on opening your first channel:

Haven’t opened any channels just yet, wanted everything synced first, need to get some BTC on the Device and then will get to it. I met the guy that runs BTC Sessions a few weeks back and he was suggesting that the best way is probably just buying an In and an Out channel and making sure you are balanced across both of them. having a 70 / 30 ratio otherwise your own node empties and you can’t send onwards. I will have a play, the Hardware was the biggest problem before.
Thanks @Rexter
Each Lightning node maintains a graph of the network, which includes information about other nodes, their channels, and the capacities of those channels. Syncing to this graph ensures that the node has the latest information about the network’s state. Nodes connect to each other and exchange information about their channels and capacities. This information is used to update the local graph. You need to connect to a peer in order to do so. You can connect to a peer, but not yet open a channel. It’s okay to be connected to peers which you may never open a channel with.
That’s actually REALLY useful information!!! I have been trying to run this for some years now and just NOT getting the benefit that I would like. I really want to support the lightning network but…
