Currently running Bitcoin Knots version 29.3.0, and there is an update available (29.3.1). Is bip 110 already baked into my current version, or will it be in 29.3.1? What happens if I don’t update?
29.3.1 enforces RDTS and asks the user to explicitly confirm. On Start9 this shows up as the “Activate RDTS” critical task, where you must type in “rdts” to acknowledge.
If you don’t update (because you like Knots and don’t like BIP-110 for example) that’s fine.
I did all that. It is just taking a long time. I am getting this: “Stopping this may take a while…” It has been going on for at least 4 hours. I was not expecting an update to take this long.
This is an old StartOS v0351 bug. Please go System → Restart. When it comes back, everything will be in its proper state.
Thank you! That did it. If I enabled ‘rdts’, then I assume it is signaling for BIP-110? I noticed I no longer have the BIP-110 indication on the Bitcoin Knots logo.
. . . . . . . . . Correct.
