Bitcon Node Hardware

Just starting out with my start9 Pure. I want to run a btc node, but havent found any YT videos explaining step by step for a beginner. Can someone point me in the right direction, as to what kind of hardware I would need to run a node. I have downloaded startos and running on my regular laptop, but i think I would need a dedicated computer to run a full node?

I’m a little confused by your question. If you’re purchased a Start9 Server Pure, where does additional hardware purchasing, laptops or dedicated computers come into this?

Sorry, so just to be clear, there’s no other hardware or device I would need if I want to run a full node? My Pure will just handle it, and then I can just access it with my connected laptop, correct? Total newb here.

Right!! OK, understood. That’s correct. With a Server Pure, you’d install Bitcoin and Electrs on it. As a “server” it would “serve” Bitcoin to your client computers, i.e. your phone, your laptop, your desktop, your tablet… you preferred software wallet, your preferred hardware wallet etc, they’d all connect to that “server” and be “served” by it.

The process you’d follow to get started is here: Start9 | Start Fresh

And how you’d connect different bitcoin wallets to the server is detailed here: Start9 | Bitcoin Integrations

That clears it up, thank you!
