I got the Bitwarden standalone app working, but can’t get the firefox extension to connect. I added the s to the http onion address, I downloaded the proxy as recommended in the start9 user guide, I set up firefox for tor and for the automatic proxy, to no avail.
This is probably related to the sandboxed version of Firefox LM ships with. But we need to make sure the other boxed are checked first. Did you go through the device setup, where you imported your server’s root CA?
yes for the root CA, Also, I have no problem accessing the server remotely from firefox on the same machine. Furthermore, Nextcloud is synchronizing fine.
If I understand correctly, you’re only having issues with the browser extension while everything else works fine over Tor. This suggests Firefox might be running in a jailed environment like an AppImage, Flatpak, or Snap. Try installing Firefox using a .deb package instead, which won’t isolate it from the regular filesystem.
This isn’t an issue with StartOS—it’s a client-side connectivity problem, so there’s nothing to fix on the server. Saying that StartOS v0.4.0 will include enhanced networking options to make connecting clients more robust.
Hi, I am back to this problem now. I just tested with a laptop running also Linux Mint, but I am local and can use either the local or the tor interface to the server. When I opened the laptop, Vaultwarden was working and synching on both Firefox and Librewolf. Then, I got a bunch of updates done to the system as I had not used it for a while. After that, Vaultwarden stopped synching on both browsers, both locally and remotely
and then, after login out and back in, it stopped showing even the last version of passwords. Note that I checked that Firefox was the deb package version
