Please help with this. We all know that the Start9 team kinda forces BIP110 upon us and now we are in the situation of going to the highest minor version, which was introduces as a non-official update for bitcoin core service.
29.3.1 is NOT an official bitcoin core version. It’s - what i call it - a fraudster version from the start9 team. I installed bitcoin core and they went like “well, here is our version of it, that does not exist in the official repo and that will make core support BIP110 because you should not have a vote in this, we know better what’s good for you”. If I do this, my node will flip to the dead chain (because of the recent chain split).
Yes, I am still mad at you and I stopped publicly speaking out for Start9 because of this bs. You lost my respect forever! I don’t care if you don’t care, but I want to voice that opinion as clear as possible.
But that’s not the topic here. The question is: Do I really need to upgrade Bitcoin Core to the highest minor version, or did someone skip that scam version and still successfully succeeded in updating to the latest version?
Or should I close all my channels and start from scratch? This will make me hate this OS even more, but at that point, the reputation is ruined anyways.
