My Synapse server says it is online and functioning. I was able to connect a client app to it, I tried connecting a different client app on different device and it could not find home server. Now the first app that I connected says ‘Offline’, even though the server is running good. So the server is having some issues even though it doesn’t state it is. I have wiped Tor state and still doesn’t work. Any ideas? Thanks guys!
In using Tor, you have two Tor connections to be concerned with. Only one of them is on the server.
Yes, only reason I think this is a server issue is because it connected fine initially and has started being weird now, nothing on client app has changed. And I found a thread in this forum of someone else having a similar issue.
When you start Synapse it says it needs time to stabilise Tor connection, could this be a factor? My course of action for the moment is to leave it running for a day and see if I can connect after that. Maybe just needs a bit.
I think you’re right actually. Just tested again I think this is happening because of Tor connection on devices. Will wait for 0.4.0 to use Synapse! Thanks for all you do
