Connectling Remotely>iPhone, TOR,

iPhone 14 iOS 18.5
Reinstalled Official TOR and not using Orbot. I have had difficulty accessing my ServerOne for a long time (purchased and have been using the server for 2+/- years). Not tech savvy and get frustrated. Initial set up I was able to access remotely through Firefox (that if I remember correctly when I first set up created some sort of way that Firefox went onto TOR), but through Apple updates it stopped working and I couldn’t figure out the issues.
Today, I tried again and began going through “Connecting Remotely” >Start9 Manual. I’m on TOR v3.2.2 with Orbot
I am copying the remote address for the ServerOne into TOR. I tried using Orbot with TOR and not using Orbot.

I have discovered that in TOR there are the 3 levels of security that you can select; Gold, Silver and Bronze. If I’m in the Gold or Silver levels, it looks like the ServerOne is connecting, but the screen is blank. If I go to Bronze (which TOR doesn’t recommend for privacy), the Start9 login page appears. It was the same if I used Orbot or not.

Like me, I suspect that most Bitcoiners would prefer the most secure access in TOR (Gold).

Is what I am experiencing typical with access the server via TOR? Is this a setting issue in TOR or iPhone? Did I miss a step in the manual to connect remotely?

What you’re seeing with the different Tor security levels is expected. The gold and silver levelsdisable certain web features and media rendering, which are necessary for the StartOS UI to load properly. That is why you are seeing a blank screen at those levels. So its actually not failing to connect, it’s just not allowed to render the UI
So, using de bronze level yes its less strict on privacy but necessary for the UI to work

Thank you very much Gloriana. It’s good to know that I am on the right track. I appreciate you and your help.
