How to pimp up the space I use for Cryptpad specifically with an usb-connected external hdd?
I do not want to use the internal hdd space for Cryptpad I want to use only external usb copnencted hdd for cryptpad… is that possible?
StartOS allows for the use of a single drive for Service data and unfortunately can’t by default allow for the connection of different Services (i.e. CryptPad) to different drives.
What you could do is get hold of a larger drive and transfer the data you have now onto that, run multiple servers for key Services or if you are virtualizing, you have a number of additional options.
Is this still a missing thing on start9?
Still no option for external harddisks for specific apps?
No multi drives, no extending across drives, no USB drives and no RAID yet… We’ve been working on StartOS v0.4.0, now released, and we have lots of plans for future features.
