Datum Gateway setting for solo mining

Hi everyone,
I’ve just installed Datum Gateway on start9, I’m going to connect a Bitaxe to do solo loto mining.
In the Datum configuration parameters, in the item :
Collaborative reward sharing (pooled mining) there are three choices:

  • require (pooled only)
  • prefer (failover to non-pooled)
  • none (non-pooled only)

I chose the last one: none

Is this the right choice for solo mining and hypothetical rewards?

Yes, non-pooled means you aren’t in the pool and are mining alone. However, you may want to read up one the available documentation for an explanation on all the different settings for DATUM at Ocean.

Non-Pooled Mining

Note: This means no rewards unless you find blocks. Make sure you’re familiar with the differences to Pooled Mining.

To do this with Datum-Gateway, simply remove the text from Datum Pool Host in your config and disable “Pooled Mining Only”.

With this setup, you will keep all rewards from any blocks you find and they will be paid out to the address in “Pool Address”.
