Dev Environment (Ubuntu)

Hi. I’m looking at tinkering around with creating a service. I have some experience with Swift using Xcode, but no other languages. I see that Ubuntu is highly recommended for developing a service. I have an M2 Macbook and am wondering if running an Ubuntu VM is a good option for getting the right developer environment.

The above looks good to me, but I thought i’d see what others recommend before I dive in.

Many service packagers, including for the new SDK out soon, use and are happy with Mac OS. You don’t really need to take the resource hit of running a VM.
