Let me point out that we trying to hack StartOS omto a machine that’s not supported by StartOS, because it requires some specific driver that’s missing in the current version of StartOS. Even if this gets past this problem, you might encounter other problems. Future versions of StartOS may not have this problem. But if you still want to try, we need to reduce the number of variables here. In the BIOS set the boot options to boot the flash drive without any key strokes. Make sure that part works - that it boots from the flash drive without any key strokes even though it results in an error. Once that’s verified, turn the NUC off. Verify that the Nuc is connected via Ethernet your router, and that the machine that you’re going to connect to it from is also connected to the same router, via ethernet. Disable the wireless just to eliminate the variable. If it’s on a different subnet, this will not work. Disconnect the monitor, but leave the keyboard and mouse connected for now. Turn on the NUC. Give it five minutes just for good measure. Then open a browser that’s on the other machine connected to the same router or switch. Type start.local, and press enter on the keyboard.
