Is there a way to downgrade to older versions of the Bitcoin Core?
It would be really cool if we could select from a list of versions which one we want to install or downgrade to.
knots is there… not sure going backwards is wise - there are security vulnerabilities and fixes addressed to bring core to where it was ( ignoring v30 needless to say )
Dojo doesn’t like knots. That’s one thing. And another thing is that there are bunch of nodes still running 27 and no security exploits has been known in the wild.
Downgrading is technically an option in every service and always has been. Perhaps you missed it? You’d go to the service in the marketplace, scroll down to versions, selected and outdated version, then the Install/Upgrade button becomes a yellow Downgrade button.
Why Yellow? Other that it not being a good idea to run outdated software, some services (Bitcoin isn’t one in this case) have version migrations that don’t go backwards and so you risk breaking the service by downgrading.
