Expected Release Timeline for Stable StartOS v0.3.6

Hi Start9 team and community,

I’m currently running StartOS v0.3.5~1 and noticed that v0.3.6-alpha.0 was released a while ago. I’m wondering if there’s an approximate timeline for when the stable v0.3.6 version will be available.

Can we expect it to be released sometime this year? Any insights into the development progress would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

0.3.6-alpha.16 was just posted Monday. If you have a non-production machine and would like to help test, send me a DM.

Thanks for the response! I need to run StartOS in a production environment, so I can’t test the alpha version.

Could someone provide an estimate of how long it usually takes for an alpha version to progress to a stable release?

No, there is no “usually.” We’re still working out bugs. But I can say that we’re on the verge of moving to beta.

Hi everyone, just checking in — where do things currently stand regarding the expected release timeline for the stable StartOS v0.3.6? Thanks in advance!

Hi Rexter, could you please give a brief update on the current timeline for the stable release? Many thanks.

Still no timeline for stable release. We expect to launch the public beta this month. But we won’t until we’ve completed the internal Alpha testing. There are still known bugs, but we are eliminating them one by one. Making progress every day.
