How do I connect Start UI dashboard to .onion wile using HTTPS with CA

In, System → StartOS UI → Add Onion Service - I recieve a error when trying to add .onion?

I will be in travle using starlink modem to sync and have no .local or https url and need to be able to login to dashboard to stop and restart apps.

Please help. Error

RPC ERROR: Action Failed Error: Cannot create an onion service for “null”: interface binding 80 is not exposed, so there is no reachable endpoint to forward to.

It seems this version of Tor you updated to has snuck out a little early. We’re looking at solutions, I’ll update you when ready. If you don’t have specific .onion address you actually need, you can uninstall and then install the prior version, otherwise hang tight.

FYI, i did get electrs and bitcoin core .onion url and they work with no problums. i just cant set .onion for dashboard. Ill look for your reply,

Big Thx, Victor

P.S. This is a new start9 install from 3 days ago.

I wanted to mention that I installed Tor from the Start9 Marketplace so I have no option to go back to an older version.

I don’t need this option for .onion to dashboard at this time .onion works with Electrs for sparrow but in a year or so I’m going to early retire and will be in travel using starlink modem for syncing and will want to use Tor .onion to get to dashboard.

My question is do you know if there will be a Start9 update to fix this issue connecting dashboard via .onion?

Thanks for your time to reply.

It’ll be fixed as son as beta10.

That said, if you want remote access to StartOS v040, you’ll most likely prefer just opening ports. Tor can be quite temperamental.
