I was running Alby Hub with LND but my external ssd seems to have died. Although I made a backup, I can’t seem to use it because I keep get past the “permissions” issues.
So the only thing I have are the 24 word aezeed. I got a new node and SSD and running a fresh S9 with LND but there’s no option to import aezeed. Any help is appreciated for a not so techy person.
I don’t have a lot of info on using aezeed recovery method because StartOS has a much more effective method for recovering LND, built in, which generally leads to better results. Before we go down the aezeed rabbit hole, let’s backup a few steps, and see if we can sort out the problem you are having with the recommended method first. Please tell me the procedure you went through to help me better understand circumstances around the permissions issue you mentioned.
