How to access server remotely via VPN? Also VPN into local network

Hey all,

Tor is super unreliable for me so I was looking for a service that would allow me to access my server remotely via VPN. Does anyone know of such a service? I think I remember Start9 saying it should be coming in a future update, but that was a while ago. I’m thinking someone must have packaged a service for this by now?

Additionally, also looking for a service to allow me to VPN into my local network through my start9 to allow me to access local addresses externally.

Not sure if anyone has any suggestions for either of these. Otherwise I’d appreciate it if they could be added to the official request que.

Yes, this is something that will be possible on the upcoming version 036 of StartOS, which is currently undergoing internal Alpha testing and will soon be in Beta for community testing.

There are ways that some users have hacked together and can be found in this forum, but are not simple and require specific knowledge as well as being aware of any possible drawbacks.
