How to add Core Lightning wallet to Braiins Payout

Hello,

First. I’m brand new to the forum but not new to Start9 as I’ve had my server since 2023 so if the question I ask feels newbie please excuse my ignorance.

I am mining to Braiins pool and currently have lightning payouts going to a Speed wallet but I would like the payout to go directly to my Core Lightning wallet. The pool requires a lightning address but I cant seem locate my c-lightning wallet address.

Is it possible to have the pool go directly to my lighting wallet or am I missing something here?

Thanks

A “lightning address” refers to an address with a DNS addressable domain name with an email style handle added… like… gray@graynodeonstartos.com

Unless you buy a domain name, make CLN accessible over clearnet and code something similar to Alby’s service stack, you’re not going to have a lightning address on your node.

With some intermediaries (such as the Alby example) it’s possible to do this with LND on StartOS, but there’s nothing available right now to do something similar with CLN.

Thank you for the clarity. Most appreciated.

I figured this was a good place to respond/follow up with the solution to my query about lightning payouts from pools. Like I said…I got my Server One in '23 and installed Bitcoin Core in order to do my part in running a node but I have recently discovered the true power of what I have. So over the past month Ive been slowing learning what it takes and means to be sovereign. But my apologies if this is the wrong place to post…

I looked into Ocean’s pool and discovered that Bolt12 pays directly to the C-Lightning wallet which I think is a good thing. I wanted to post a small image below and get a bit of feed back on how I think my Server One is working structurally. Ever thing works internally to my own node to my knowledge. Biggest thing I noticed is the ping to my Datum server (where the shares are exchanged) is 2ms. Wow! Huge improvement down from 148ms by not using my own Datum gateway.

So oh guru’s of the forums…does the setup below look correct?

Bolt12 is awesome, and yes, it means you can get lightning payouts from Ocean without lightning address and other 3rd party dependent DNS stuff.

Your chart looks reasonable. If you want autistic criticism of it, calling the payments from Ocean to CLN “pay channel” maybe implies that you have a channel with them, which isn’t necessary. But yes, looks OK.
