I understand how to reset the password by reinstall it and keep the existing data, but my case is I remember the password but want to change it.
Is there any way to do this without following the password reset procedure?

This is currently the only way to change a password.
I went through the reset password process but was never presented with the option to select “Recover”. When the server reboots I’m only presented with a login screen. I’m running 0.3.4.3 the nonfree iso.
I’m running this on my own machine. It’s an old Core i7. Everything runs fine but I’m new to this and chose a crappy password while I was experimenting. Beyond starting from scratch is there any other way to change the password?
