I just upgraded my server to 0.4.0 and the migration went pretty smooth. As far as I can tell the only issue I’m having is that my lnbits service no longer connects to the LND backend. Even after restart it won’t generate invoices and it’s saying that my node has no balance (I checked and my channels are still up). It says if I change the configuration that lnbits will wipe all my data so I can’t disconnect and reconnect it in the config. Anyone got any ideas?
I’m not sure there’s enough to go on here to consider this a workable bug report. When you say the update went “pretty smooth”, what does that mean with respect the services that landed post upgrade. Did you complete the step in the guide where it tells you to upgrade those services? What you open the action to see the wallet implementation, what actually appears there?
I did upgrade all the services after the 0.4.0 upgrade. And when I open the action menu it shows the same as your screenshot with the warning and LND selected.
I dumped the lnbits logs into ChatGPT and it said
“LNbits is configured for LndRestWallet, but it cannot find the LND macaroon file:
No such file or directory: ‘/mnt/lnd/admin.macaroon’”
so I tried running the “recreate macaroons” action in LND and restarted both services, but it didn’t fix the issue.
Another user ran into a problem and provided the details needed for me to work out a fix, I think your’s is the same:
