LNDg update v1.10.1

How do you update to the latest version of LNDg? I see on the community beta registry. I see links below it but I’m new to StartOS and nothing seems to work using SSH commands. Can someone update it to the Community marketplace for us who don’t docker or other means?

There is no “docker or other means” on StartOS, which is an OS that you’d interact with via the graphical user interface and where software needs to be specifically packaged for StartOS.

The developer of LNDg doesn’t release his software packaged as a StartOS service, and so StartOS users rely on volunteers to update things. Someone now has this underway, so I expect this update to be available shortly.

My latest changes are merched but the package is not released yet.

If you want to install this version now, you can sideload my s9pk for LNDg.

If you don’t want to sideload LNDg you can also load it via the GUI from the Community Beta Marketplace.

From your StartOS GUI - go to Marketplace. Under Start9 Registry click where it says “change” . This will allow you to change the registry from the Standard Start9 Registry to the Community Beta registry. Then search for LNDg, click on it and you can install it from there…

Hopefully after a bit more testing in beta, this LNDg version will be promoted from Beta to the standard Community registry.

HI Sirius:

Thanks for the LNDg s9pk link, i did figure out the upgrade process with that. However, I tried to upgrade over v1.9.1, got an error message, so I erased v1.9.1 to do a clean install with the same error message as stated!

“Install of lndg@1.10.1.1 Failed: Filesystem I/O Error: error reading a body from connection: end of file before message length reached”.

This usually means the uploading of the file was cut short, or the initial downloading of the file was cut short.

Everything works great now that I redownloaded it. The only issue I see is that the service still seems to not refresh if a screen page stays dormant for too long. A manual refresh of the webUI is required then.
