I’m following steps to set up my diy server with linux. Got to the bit about configuring Firefox to work with Tor:
Ensure you are already running Tor on your Linux machine .
Download the Proxy Auto Config file to inform Firefox how to resolve .onion URLs. You can get Start9’s standard file from a terminal, by using:
sudo wget -P ~/ https://start9.com/assets/proxy.pac
This asset no longer seems to be here. Is there a model proxy.pac file I can use? I don’t understand enough yet to modify my own.
Thank you

Hi FatherGeorge
I managed to download the file, so it’s definitely up. Perhaps you’re missing the wget tool to make the command work. What exact error are you getting when you enter the command?
Thanks very much for the reply.
father-george@father-george:~/Father George$ sudo wget -P ~/ https://start9.com/assets/proxy.pac

I’m seeing the same error. I’ll look into what’s going on.

We made some changes our servers recently. We’ll get this fixed shorty. You can try back, or I’ll post the new path if it has changed.
