Monitor gone to sleep

Hello, got my Start9 set up and have a full (Knots) node running - all looks good. Logged in here on a laptop and can use SSH in the command line also. Having a similar issue I had on a Raspberry Pi years ago - I have a monitor attached to the Start9 using HDMI. The monitor HDMI connection won’t wake up. I don’t want to mess with the Start9 too much, so is there an easy way to get my HDMI connection live?

I tried adding a mouse and keyboard, and for a day or so, it worked, but now off again.

Connecting a monitor to a server is a short term debugging option. Servers are not personal computers nor client terminals. You’re not supposed to sit infront of them and operate them, instead you should be following the guides: Start9 | Getting Started - Initial Setup

Yes, understood thanks, and all setup is done. It was just handy from my day-job desk to be able to switch my monitor from my work laptop to Start9 temporarily to see if all is working OK. But no problem, I can use my home laptop to check it as I am doing here.

I’ve had more than one person who wanted to display mempool 24/7 on a monitor connected to the server, and for that they kept their server on their desk. I suggested that instead they connect the monitor to the desktop they had right need to the server (and to put the server off out of the way with the router) and full-screen a browser window.

Yes, I have my server on a below-desk shelf next to the router and I access the Start9 and Mempool from my home laptop, all is good. I don’t want to access my Start9 using my work laptop, and was just hoping to avoid changing locations and booting up my home laptop unnecessarily, but no problem. Thanks.

If it’s just to check on the server, you should probably get set up on your phone too.

OK, thanks, will do.
