Due to a power surge, my mini PC on which I had Start9 installed with all the applications, including a lightning node and Albyhub, has died.
I have rescued the 2TB Nvme ssd drive where the Start9OS was installed and a 1TB external drive where I had all the backups.
I bought a new computer, but I don’t know if I can simply install the internal 2TB Nvme drive where I had the entire Start9OS system and recover from that, because it doesn’t boot from the BIOS.
Can someone help me or give me some guidance on what to do next, please? It’s urgent.
It’s Linux, so in most cases you can simply install the drives in a new machine, set the proper boot options, and be good to go. There are edge cases, where this may not work. If you find yourself in that position, you can use the reinstall option to preserver existing data, which will get you back up and running again with your services intact.
