No NVMe Device Found

The network cannot find the Start 9 Server, so I connected a monitor and keyboard to check the settings. The server is stuck looping into the Aptio Setup / AMI BIOS screen and the hardware menu explicitly states "No NVMe Device Found.” There is also no SSD brand name that shows up.

I’m not really sure about the context here. Is this a computer you are building yourself? Did you add a NVMe drive?

Are you a Start9 customer? Did you get the email inviting you to lifetime support on the private support server at start9.me?

Hi Stu, this is a Server One that I received last week. It was not connecting to the network. After running a lot of diagnostics inquiring with AI, it suggested that the 990 EVO Plus must be disconnected. Sure enough I opened the back and it was not connected. The screw attaching it was not soldered or pressed into the board, it was just loose around the board so I connected the 990 EVO Plus and took the loose screw out. AI suggested I tape it with Kapton tape or swap it out.

We’ve had a couple of these. The screw isn’t the tightest and delivery companies seem to like to play football with packages.

The reason I asked what hardware this was is because all customers of Start9 get invites to join the private support server, but for some reason you’re posting here. Did you lose the email?

Hi Stu, I received the code for the private support yesterday.
