Reading through Alby news (02/2024) about connecting with a Nostr wallet Connect. Directions tell me to go to my community registry and install it. Except its not there. Did I miss something or did something change?

As of now, the NWC ( Nostr Wallet Connect) by Alby is no longer available in the community registry. Instead, Alby Hub is the new official service, and it’s now available on the Start9 registry.
To connect your Nostr wallet, please follow these updated steps:
- Go to the Marketplace and change to Start9 registry on your device.
- Search for and install Alby Hub.
- Follow Alby Hub instructions to set it up and connect your Nostr wallet.
This should get you back on track! Let me know if you run into any issues.
But Alby Hub is for LND only what about us CLN folks? I can’t use Alby Go to generate a QR code to scan for NWC and connect to my node which is connected to the Alby Browser extension.
We look pretty favorably on CLN… we even take a CLN-first approach in our own docs to encourage uptake.
For NWC to work with CLN as a backend would require the Alby team to implement it… either into NWC itself for them an others to use, or into Alby Hub. If no-one contacts them to request it, it’ll never happen.
You do have the option of using the Alby browser extension.
