There was a loose cable that came with contents of the server pure. I was wondering if someone can help me identify what it is and why I would need it. Looks like it could be a fan cable maybe? Its a black flat ribbon like cable with one white end (7 pins) and one black end ( 7 pin and 14 pin) that looks like it would connect to a motherboard. I can not find anything online about contents.
It’s for connecting a SATA drive. You can keep it for any future repurposing of your device, or throw it out if you’re an m.2 maxi.
