I’m trying to set up the synapse service on my start9. I’m following the directions step by step and when I get to step two it says enter the admin username and password found in the properties. I found the admin login info but the password field was completely blank. I can’t set up the server if I can’t log into it. Does anyone know how to find a password. I reinstalled the synapse service and that didn’t help. I didn’t play around with it too much more because I don’t want to mess anything else up.
I’m unable to reproduce what you describe no matter how many times I install Synapse. The only time the password field is blank is for a few minutes after you initially start the service and it’s configuring itself. When it is completed, the password property is set correctly.
It’s possible I’m having hardware problems. My server seems to run for a maximum time of 3 days before I find it unreachable and have to reboot. It’s possibly a memory problem I will have to troubleshoot further. Do you think this could be the problem with the admin password?
If you think your server turned off when Synapse was in the middle of configuring, sure, it’s possible. What’s your hardware?
