I’m in an Air BNB to use my bitcoin node. I’ve plugged it into the wifi ethernet port, seems to be running fine. I have my PC on the same wifi connection, but it won’t let me past the login page. I’ve stored my password in Proton pass, so I’m sure it’s correct, but it won’t accept it and says ‘gateway timeout’.
Then when I go to the start9 page, click docs, then initial setup, and copy and paste http://start.local the page won’t open.
“Gateway timeout” is an error that makes no mention of anything to do with your password.
start.local is for setting up a new server out of the box – if that’s what you’re doing, how do you already have a password?
Your UI is on the unique .local you were given. You’d visit that in a browser. But a browser is not a live view of a website. If you open a news website, read the headlines and then close your device for a week, when you look at the device again, that’s not today’s news. It’s last weeks.
