Post-password-reset login loop – web UI keeps asking for password after recovery

Hi there.
I managed to forget my Start9 password, and followed Grok’s advice and method to reinstall the OS on my server. I think it’s a Server One. I believe I’ve followed all the instructions properly, but then when I try and log in after resetting the password and re-starting, it just keeps giving me the log-in loop where it won’t accept my new password and just keeps asking me to enter it again.
Am I supposed to put anything in the username here? Grok suggested ‘start9’, but that didn’t seem to work. I’m assuming this is a problem people other than me know how to fix?

You got lucky. Following instructions from AI that’s not specifically trained on StartOS and our documentation usually leads to bigger more complex problems to solve. Start9 documentation will usually yield better results.
