My public pool isn’t working. I input the ipv4 address found in startOS and point my miners to it, but it won’t work. Is there another ip I should be using? For reference I can use that ipv4 10. Address to log into my startOS from another device so I thought that’s the right address. Any help to find my ip of start9 would be appreciated!
Hi Vancity,
Have you installed SimpleProxy and followed the service instructions? It may need some tweaking to work correctly. I encourage you to read the instructions on the service page, in the additional information section. If you still have more questions, let us know.
I did I will try again though. I can see in logs for public pool it says something along the lines of listening to port 3333, does that mean I did it correctly ?
Also I can’t copy and paste all the commands, I tried on my laptop but it doesn’t let me highlight and copy. I had to take a picture and use picture to text tools to get the command from the photo. Is there anyway I can just copy and paste, is there a setting that needs to be on to be able to highlight text on my startOS?
We can’t really help with copying and pasting on your client OS, you’d have to work out why you can’t do that, but I’ll like to you same instructions in the source code of the wrapper here:
I copied and paste. After copying the install commands, it says 0 upgraded 0 installed etc is that normal? Seems like nothing was installed or changed.
You can’t stop there. You have to follow all the instructions.
Check out this video guide from WantClue, he guides you trough the custom commands very well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxyPkg7d-ak&ab_channel=WantClue
So I got it working, I tested hashing with public pool and datum and got my solo (lottery mine) to work! I used putty, I don’t know if that made a difference or not, but it works now. Thank you guys
I still can’t open the graphic web interface for any services on my start9 though. I click on public pool or datum to use the web interface and it won’t open, error page comes up. I already did the certificates, on the computer that I log into my start9 with. The address it tries to open is a really long text with a .local
It works when I open it on my phone though. Any thoughts on how to fix that?
