Looking at mine to my own pool.
Every time I think I have it right my miner tells me it’s a DEAD pool.
Already set up my SSH can’t seem to figure it out.
Everything else look like it’s running fine.
Is there anything else I should be looking at!

First things first.
If you are trying to use Public Pool, you need to closely follow the setup instructions found in the service page itself that guide you step by step on how to set up simpleproxy in order for it to work correctly.
These instructions should be followed slowly and closely without skipping any steps and you will be up and running in no time.
If by simple proxy you mean setting up the ssh?
No, setting up SSH is only the first step.
You have to enter the commands found in the Public Pool service instructions and this will install simpleproxy and allow Public Pool to function correctly.
Go to the Public Pool service in your server and click on “Instructions”, follow them very carefully and you will be all set.
