Hi Eveyone
Ran out of space on my node and getting this error when I try to boot the machine up?
Additional details:
Running a VM with StartOS iso.
Tried downloading a XMR node and ran out of space.
Any help is appreciated.

This is something specific to VMs that has come up a dozen times, but more along the general lines of “I want to resize my drive”. Which again is very VM specific and not at all related to StartOS.
I think we’ve agreed on our end that the best way forward for you would be to replicated the Transfer process as part of the drive upgrade guide. Create a new VM, attach the old VM’s data drive to it virtually, and transfer the contents to a new larger drive.
Thanks Stu. Much Appreciated.
Would it be possible to just delete the docker container that has the XMR node? Rebuilding the VM would probably lead to me losing my lightning channels…
Regards
Going through the transfer process correctly would not harm your lightning channels. But if you’d like to get at your containers, you’d have to have set up SSH by following the SSH guide…
https://docs.start9.com/0.3.5.x/user-manual/ssh
…which is part of the initial setup. You would not delete containers though. That’s dangerous. The safest thing to do would be go into the Monero directory and delete blocks.
Of course, if you never set up SSH, the transfer process might be the best way to achieve what you need.
Excellent thanks Stu. SsH is set up. Is there a way to perhaps uninstall the XMR node container via the cmd line?
To uninstall it entirely…
start-cli package uninstall monerod
