Restoring LND from seed and channel.backup

I was trying to upgrade my Umbrel from 0.54 to 1.3, but I didn’t pay attention that the Umbrel backup script ignored it’s default USB drive selection and formatted the drive my installation was on:

This (and the fact that they haven’t had SSL certs for over four years) led me to look for other alternatives, which led me to StartOS.

So after my fiasco with Umbrel, all I have is my LND Node Private Key and a channels.backup file. Is there a way to restore my lightning wallet and channels in StartOS? I currently have bitcoin core installed and syncing with StartOS.

Hi @Alvaro, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I don’t see an option to restore from a seed phrase or a channel.backup file.

We have no guide to do this as with StartOS we have our own backup and restoration process the does this automatically. If you need to manipulate seeds and backups, this can only be done via command line. LND’s documentation should be able to help.
