RPC ERROR when creating Backup

I’m running the latest v0.4.0 beta. When attempting to create a backup with a physical drive (showing as available for backup under status) I receive folling error:

:cross_mark:Error

RPC ERROR: Filesystem I/O Error mount exited with exit status: 32

How can I resolve the issue?

Please provide some context to the error. Tell me about the drive. Was it in use before? What sort of prep did you do for this drive?

This error probably indicates an incorrect file system type. The drive needs to be partitioned with at least one EXT4 partition.

Thanks for the quick reply. The drive was in use before but has been properly wiped. However it’s in NTFS format, so will try to partition as EXT4 and report back.

You need to create a partition, and then format the partition to EXT4.

I got this error when I tried to create a backup but forgot to stop the services from running first.
