Satisfy dependencies (prerequisites) off-host?

Is it possible to satisfy some dependencies (prereqs) by connecting to a service running on another machine?

For instance, I’m not ready to convert my existing stable StartOS install (0.3.5~1) to the 0.4.0 beta. (I may wait for it to be stable.) I’m experimenting with StartOS 0.4.0-beta.9, in a VM with limited disk space. I’d like to be able to install most services on it, but point at my existing Bitcoin node on the other machine on my LAN. There doesn’t seem to be a way to do that exposed in the webUI.

No. You cannot satisfy dependencies with things running on your other machine.

Thanks for the info.

Is there Might there be any interest in such a feature, among the users, or developers? At least for the Bitcoin node, or maybe other items with large data stores.

Is this the right place to ask that?
