Hello bam
First of all, we’re selling the Server One and Server Pure—there is no product called “Server 9 Pro.”
Secondly, could you please be more specific about what you’re trying to do? From what I understand, you’ve installed the Sparrow Wallet from the community registry and are trying to use a USB device to transfer data to the wallet.
If that’s the case, I would recommend reading the service instructions. Point number 6 clearly states:
“Sparrow on Webtop does not support cameras or USB devices.”
This is something to keep in mind when setting up wallets.
If this is not what you’re trying to do, please provide more details so we can better assist you.
I have no personal experience with this, but I do believe there is a way to send a file to the webtop, in the interface.
Thanks Homer. I got cross eyed from the hours trying to make it work. It is a SERVER Pure.
My main issue is getting my desktop to connect to my Server Pure that is running a node. It has been a nightmare. I thought it may have to do with my star link, but sparrow and electrumrs run just great on my server. I can not find a way to get it connect. I have tried just about everything but can not find the right ip address. I even tried the onion address and proper ports. Also tried running with TOR always on in the background. The only thing that I have not tried is downloading the certificate to my desktop computer, because I have no idea how to get it over there.
Do you mean you’re having trouble with connecting Sparrow Wallet on your desktop to your server, or are you unable to connect to your server from your desktop in general?
If you’re referring to the Sparrow Wallet specifically, here’s our guide on how to set it up—it might be helpful.
If you’re having trouble connecting to your server in general, you’ll need to install the rootCA on your desktop using this guide. If it still doesn’t work, you can go through this troubleshooting checklist for further help.
My sparrow on my desktop will not connect to my Server. It will connect and work on the internet. The server also has sparrow that will connect to a non private public server. They are both empty with no wallets:) The issue is that my sparrow or the internet on my desktop will not connect to my server. I can’t seem to get any device too. I installed the rootCA on my server and got some name like sloppy-joe, but do not know how to view it or send it to my desktop or other computers. THANKS for your time and quick reply. I will check out the checklist.
If you enter your server URL (e.g., sloppy-joe.local) in your desktop browser, you should be able to access your server—as long as both devices are on the same subnet. Once connected, go to System > Root CA to download your certificate.
Be sure to install the certificate on your client device, not on the server, in order to enable a secure TLS connection. You can do this by following the guide I shared earlier.
After installing the certificate, you can use the Sparrow Wallet guide to connect to your Bitcoin node locally or using Tor. If you want to connect using Electrs, please refer to the recommended Electrs connection guide.
SOLVED. THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR QUICK REPLIES. THE main issue was finding the server. THIS COULD not be done on my desktop that ran POP! os, but I installed angry bird and got it on a windows computer and was able to grab the ip address associated with the sloppy address with the much needed IP ADDRESS)). From there getting the certificates and everything else went pretty smooth on the desktop. THANKS AGAIN.
