Server Non Response or Crashed?

I bought the new Server One and got it up running with no issues. I have BTC, Electrs, and Mempool running. I noticed yesterday my server was unresponsive no lights blinking on server Etherport. I rebooted by router but no change. I could not connect to it. I finally had to hard reboot by unplugging it then all good. Found these Websocket errors in logs and they maybe continuing. I want to understand what the issue is - the server or comm connections??

This is an abrupt close of your browser window while something was being requested via the browser. It’s not a significant error.

If your server has an issue, you’ll need to see the logs from the time when it was apparently unresponsive or not responding.

Pulling the power on the server is not a good idea since the server has an SSD in it. You’ll probably find that pulling the power on the router would have had the same affect of bringing things back into a connected state.

You’ll have to wait until this happens again, then take a look at the logs for that period to see if there’s a server issue. If there’s not, then you’ll be able to…

  1. See the device connected in the router’s connected devices list
  2. Access the server via its .onion
  3. Access the server via its LAN IP

Did you try any of the above?

Thanks for some feedback.

I tried several things:

  1. the Ethernet lights on the server were not responding (no flashing at all). I have the server connected to a LAN Multiswitch that is then direct wired to Router (Orbi-Netgear).
  2. I unplugged the EitherNet cable from server and then reconnected but no lights came back on.
  3. I also rebooted the router but did not power off completely.
  4. I did confirm that the server was not listed as connected to my Router active list. It is now since it is back online.
  5. I didn’t try access like you mentioned in 2 or 3 below and can learn that process. Maybe next time if occurs I need to hard boot the LAN Mulitswitch even though dont recall any previous problems with it. It’s a 8 port and it is full now. The switch controls my Audio, Sonos and Apple TV gear.

I think we definitely need to see it again so we can properly document it in logs.
