Server shut down and reboot

Server does not reboot after shut down, unplug, replug and on botton

Hi! Please tell me more. I’m not sure what a reboot after shutdown would mean, as the server would be off. Are you having difficulty getting it to turn on? Or are you saying when you click restart, it turns off rather than rebooting?

Hello, thanks. I shut it down and unplug it, then replug it and turned on again… now I am at the password screen to log into to server, I write down my password but its not going through… says “Gateway Timeout"

What you’re describing sounds like a common browser cash issue. Take a look at our Common Issues page for some clues. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you, it doesn’t show how to get past the password screen though. The server is on (light on), however, in the initial password screen of the IP user interface, it doesn’t accept the password (which is correct) and runs into “Gateway Timeout"

The Gateway Timeout error just means that your browser is having trouble communicating with the server. It does not definitively mean that the server is having an issue. Try restarting your client machine, and your router. Try another browser as well.
