Setting up Authorized Users?

I have friends and family looking to utilize my server. I haven’t been able to find an “Authorized User” setup to make this happen. Anybody been able to do this? Thanks!

Good day,

This is not something that is recommended, as giving access to your Server gives those people access to everything on your Server.

Are there specific Services you are trying to make available to them? If so, please mention which ones so we might be able to see if you can share the TOR address of those specific ones to friends & family instead of access to the entire Server.

Thanks for the info. I am looking to see if they could connect their Sparrow wallets to my server which is utilizing Tor without giving out my password. Thanks all!

They can use sparrow with your electrs if you run that:

1. Open Sparrow and go to "File -> Preferences -> Server," or if you are running for the first time, proceed through the introduction until the screen below. Then select "Configure Server."

1. On the following screen, select "Private Electrum Server."

1. Enter your electrs Hostname and Port (found in StartOS's electrs service page, under "Properties"). Enable "Use Proxy" and then enter "127.0.0.1" for the address and "9050" for the port.
