Signup failed for proton acct but good for gmail

I tried signing up with my preferred proton email acct, but the sign up notification never arrived in inbox nor spam. So after waiting ~15 mins I went thru signing up with a throwaway gmail acct, an lo-and-behold, near instantaneous sign up notification arrived in inbox.

Any ideas why? I’ve had banks that would not accept encrypted email accts like proton and tutamail during signup, accepting only gmail/yahoo/Hotmail/etc. type accts.

But I can’t imagine that would be the case for the sovereign server solution, would it?

Many people here use Proton accounts, myself included. So far, I haven’t seen or heard any one else report this issue. As a matter of deductive reasoning, with the extremely little information I have, I’d have to conclude it’s a filtering issue in your proton account. We’re not blocking you. You’re blocking us! :wink:
